Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Native Tongues application and website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Native Tongues is a language learning platform that provides audio-based flashcard drills, story reading with interlinear translations, and structured learning paths. The Service is available through our mobile application (iOS and Android) and web interface.

Accounts

• You may use limited features without creating an account (free tier).
• To access the full Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and a 4-6 digit PIN.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You may delete your account at any time through the app Settings screen. Deletion is permanent and removes all associated data.

Access and Payment

Native Tongues offers two access tiers:

• Free tier — limited access to introductory lessons and stories.
• Full access — complete access to all lessons, stories, and features. Full access is purchased as part of the Native Tongues language learning course through our website. Payment is processed externally by Stripe.

Full access is granted via an activation code provided upon purchase. Purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

Content and Intellectual Property

• All stories, audio recordings, translations, lesson content, and visual assets in the Service are owned by Native Tongues or licensed to us.
• You may not copy, distribute, reproduce, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
• Your learning progress data belongs to you and can be deleted upon request.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape, download, or bulk-access content
• Share your account credentials or activation code with others
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Native Tongues shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the app Settings.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or email.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Native Tongues operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
